Limits and colimits in the category of pre-directed complete pre-ordered sets
In this paper, some categorical properties of the category { Pre-Dcpo} of all pre-dcpos; pre-ordered sets which are also pre-directed complete, with pre-continuous maps between them is considered. In particular, we characterize products and coproducts in this category. Furthermore, we show that this category is neither complete nor cocomplete. Also, epimorphisms and monomorphisms in {Pre-Dcpo} ...
متن کاملA new category of eye movements in a small fish
One of the main functions of the oculomotor system in vertebrates and most invertebrates is to keep the image of the world relatively still on the retina [1,2]. Eye re-locations are often rapid gaze shifts or ‘saccades’ which move the eyes with high velocity in order to minimise the period during which the image is destabilised [2]. Here, we describe unusual drifting eye movements in a small te...

1 Abstract In developing lexicons to support a scoring system for open-ended test questions and a content analysis system, we found it necessary to extend the conventional notion of a semantic network as consisting of concept nodes and (perhaps several kinds of) labeled links by adding nodes for pseudoentries capturing semantic features (as in typed feature structures) and by viewing links as n...
متن کاملImmersing Small Complete Graphs
Following in the spirit of the Hadwiger and Hajós conjectures, AbuKhzam and Langston have conjectured that every k-chromatic graph contains an immersion of Kk. They proved this for k ≤ 4. Here we make the stronger conjecture that every simple graph of minimum degree k−1 contains an immersion ofKk. We prove that this conjecture holds for every k ≤ 7.
متن کاملA big symmetric planar set with small category projections
We show that under appropriate set theoretic assumptions (which follow from Martin’s axiom and the continuum hypothesis) there exists a nowhere meager set A ⊂ R such that (i) for each continuous nowhere constant function f : R → R the set {c ∈ R : π[(f + c) ∩ (A×A)] is not meager} is meager, and (ii) the set {c ∈ R : (f + c) ∩ (A × A) = ∅} is nowhere meager for each continuous function f : R → ...
